Anambra and Niger State have joined the 18 States and FCT which have recorded confirmed cases of Coronavirus as Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announces the confirmation of 17 New cases today.
According to NCDC, as at 9:30pm 10th April, 8 cases were recorded in Lagos, 3 in Katsina, 2 in FCT, 1 in Kaduna, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Anambra and 1 in Niger State. This brings the total number of confirned cases to 305.
The Agency has also announced the discharge of 7 New recovered victims of the COVID-19 pandemic bringing the total number of recoveries to 58 and death toll 7.

Due to the increasing number of confirmed cases and a warning from the World Health Organisation against early lifting of the lockdown order, the Federal Government of Nigeria has indicated interest in extending the Lockdown to another 14 days.
Governors of States have been advised not to release the order as the result is proving positive against the Coronavirus Pandemic.
