The report released from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control at the wee hours of Wednesday indicated that Enugu and Anambra State have recorded new cases of Coronavirus infection.
Enugu had on Tuesday 12th May recorded 11th case and 9 active cases after the discharge of its two index cases, a couple from Isi-Uzo who returned from abroad.
Anambra State has maintained a week long zero case after the commendable containment of their index case by the medical team in the State and was noted to be the world's quickest recovery from the COVID-19 by the DG of NCDC and the WHO team who visited the State.
Reacting to the report from NCDC, the Enugu State Commissioner for Health, Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu, noted that the new case is from Ebonyi State who is married and living in Enugu. She had been in Kano for the past two months and then returned on the 4th of May 2020.
