The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, has been summoned to appear before the House of Representatives Committee on Public funds on Thursday 18th June, 2020.
The Minister will appear to explain the utilisation of COVID-19 funds released to her Ministry and its Agencies by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
The Minister will also on the same day answer questions on the N-power Program and other components of the National Social Investment Program.
The House of Reps Committee had frowned at the alleged refusal of the programme officers of N-power, Conditional Cash Transfer, Home Grown School Feeding Programme to appear before it to give the accounts of their financial activities.

The summon issued by the Chairman of the committee, Wole Oke, ordered the affected officers to physically appear before the committee on Thursday, a failure which, he said, warrant of arrest would be issued against them.

Also to appear before the House of Reps Committee is Auditor-General of the Federation who is expected to provide the audited performance report of the affected agencies covering their expenditure during the COVID-19 lockdown.
