The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk in an interactive session with Cyril Stober on NTA 'One on One' program has stated that the selection processes for the 2020 N-power Batch C recruitment would commence by the end of next week.
The recruitment process which commenced in June with Application ending in August has received more than 5 million applications from Nigerians which would make it tougher for the selection of the 400,000 beneficiaries to emerge in the Batch C N-power program.
The Humanitarian Minister has assured Nigerians that the process would be free and fair as only eligible Nigerians would be enrolled into the next batch of the program.
Reacting to questions on the Batch A and B beneficiaries of the program, the Minister stated that both batches have been exited and meeting is on going with stakeholder as regards the exit plan for the disengaged beneficiaries.
The Minister noted that her Ministry has signed all necessarily documents for the payment of the two batches and currently in the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
Meanwhile, a source from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation has disclosed that the sketchy payment which commenced on the 19th of August, 2020 leaving some States unpaid, was because of an allogarithm which selects States according to alphabetical order, while urging those unpaid to remain calm as payment is on going.
