The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with Project for Agriculture Coordination and Planning (FMARDPace) in continuous of the Agric for Food and Job Plan has disclosed that part of the AFJP is a financial palliative for farmers captured through the project Enumerators across the Federation.
FMARDPace has this morning announced that they would, in collaboration with the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS), begin BVN Registration of Farmers who have been captured but do not possess the Bank Verification Number.
They furthered that BVN Registration agents would be sent to Local Government Wards across the Federation to facilitate the process while informing the Enumerators to notify the farmers in their various Wards.
The BVN Registration according to FMARDPace is slated to begin on 12th October, 2020 and end on 16th October, 2020 in the various ADP Centres across the 774 Local Governments of the Federation while urging the farmers to enroll in the process to enable them recieve the Financial Palliatives.
The Agricultural Ministry however has not stated the amount of the Financial Palliatives to be given to much of the Farmers that have been captured across the Federation through the Agric for Food and Job Plan Project.
