Just In: Humanitarian Ministry distances from discovered Parliatives in a Lagos Warehouse

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has stated that it has nothing to do with the COVID-19 Palliatives  found in a  Lagos warehouse.

Reacting to online videos and photos of a large warehouse stocked with COVID-19 Parliatives marked CA-COVID as discovered in Lagos by angry youths, the Humanitarian Ministry's Special Assistant on Media, Mrs Nneka Anibueze, yesterday in a press statement noted that the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development did not procure, distribute or facilitate the distribution of palliatives under the Ca-Covid initiative.

Mrs Anibueze pointed out that "the photos and videos recorded at the warehouse showed that the bags of rice and other items were clearly marked ‘Lagos State Government and Ca-Covid".

"Ca-Covid is short for Coalition Against Covid-19, a private sector led task force in partnership with the Federal Government, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control NCDC and the World Health Organization WHO with the sole aim of combating Covid-19 in Nigeria," Mrs Anibueze explained.

The Ministry's Media SA in the press statement furthered that any publication or thought connecting the circulating videos and photos to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development is nothing but a tissue of lies.
