The applicants of the 2020 N-power Program, one of the Social Investment Programs of the President Mohammadu Buhari led administration, have lamented inattention of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development towards their application barely four(4) months of tendering their application on the registration portal.
The applicants have taken to their various social group to decry the neglect of their decision in embarking on the empower journey since the commencement of the registration on 26th June, 2020, adding that it's mentally perturbing when their fates remained undecided and hopes continued to diminish.
The applicants noted that the Humanitarian Ministry's last update on the N-power 2020 recruitment was more than a month ago when it was stated that their applications were being reviewed, point out that the continued delay in advancing to the next stages of the recruitment processes questions the transparency of the recruitment while doubting the full commencement of the program in 2020.
The President Mohammadu Buhari led adminstration has once again shown an unprecedented commitment towards the Social Investment Programs which include the N-power Program, Home Grown School Feeding (HGSF), Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT), the Government Enterprise Empowerment Loan (GEEP loan), by budgeting an applaudable sum of N420Billon to sustain the program in 2021 as captured in the 2021 Budget.
Meanwhile, the exited N-power Beneficiaries have continued to wait for the implementation of their Transition Program after the submission of their details to the various N-SIP offices across the Federation.
The Humanitarian Ministry had requested for the details of the beneficiaries who would want to be transited to either the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Federal Government Entrepreneurial Schemes or Private Sector liaise, after the termination of the Batch A and B N-power Program in June and July respectively.
