The Nirsal Microfinance Bank has, this evening, called on the applicants of the COVID-19 Targetted Credit Facility Loan (Household and SME) to check if their loans have been approved.
This became necessary due to inability of some of the applicants recieving approval text messages, and purportedly as a result of not being aware of their approval had made some of the Applicant miss their opportunities due to automatic reversal.
The Bank had within last week contacted some of the applicants who had not accepted their loans close to the expiration date while some of the applicants later reported automatic "decline" as they failed to accept their offers within the specified time frame, usually 1 week from the date of approval.
It has, by this notification from the bank, become imperative to make checking of your loan approval status a daily routine.
Applicants can check their loan status using the usual simple method:
1. Open https://covid19.nmfb.com.ng
2. When it loads, select the type of Loan you applied for. Either SME or Household.
3. An Applicant can however choose any of the short-cuts depending on the type of loan applied for: https://covid19.nmfb.com.ng/HomeLoans or https://covid19.nmfb.com.ng/SmeLoan
4. Enter your BVN. Do not worry, the website is the official website of Nirsal Microfinance Bank for the COVID-19 TCF just as https://nyif.nmfb.com.ng is for Nigeria Youth Investment Fund and https://nirsalmfb.caderp.com/Account/Register for AGSMEIS Loan Scheme.
(B) If it says 'Your loan has not been approved, check back later, kindly check back later as they said.
(C) If it however displays "BVN does not exist", do not panic. Just keep checking back from time to time as approval is on going and hope is high.
