The Federal Government, Monday, said it has awarded 100,000 Free CAC Certificates across the country under the Formalisation Supports component of the N75 Billion MSME Survival Funds Scheme.
The awarded Certificates are the first batch in the Scheme out of 250,000 CAC Certificates to be freely awarded to unregistered Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria.
Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assiastant to Prof Yemi Osibanjo on Media and Publicity in a tweet, 8th November, 2020 https://mobile.twitter.com/akandeoj/status/1325485013790568449 had disclosed that as part of Federal Government’s post Covid-19 Pandemic survival intervention to support micro and small businesses formalise their businesses, 6,606 Business Names would be registered in each of the 34 states while Abia, Lagos and Kano would have 7,906, 9,084 and 8,406 respectively.

The Project Delivery Office of the Scheme in a recent update gave a break down of the Current beneficiaries of the 100,000 Free CACs as generated from each of the 36 States plus FCT as follows.
