The Project Delivery Office of the N75Billion MSME Survival Funds Scheme has commenced deduction of the 4th payment made in error to some of the beneficiaries of the Payroll Supports Scheme.
The Federal Government right from the outset of the Payroll Supports Track stated that the Scheme would ensure payment of N30,000 - N50,000 Salary Supports to employees of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises that suffered the effect of the lockdown necessitated by the COVID-19 Pandemic, for a specified period of 3 months.
However, during the payment of the first batch of the beneficiaries, a technical error effected a "4th payment" to some of the beneficiaries which had left some eligible beneficiaries with only 1 or 2 months payments.
The deduction would go round to all beneficiaries who recieved the 4th payment and involves auto-debit from even accounts linked to their Bank Verification Numbers, a source disclosed.
A recent report from the Project Delivery Office of the MSME Survival Funds Scheme has noted that the Payroll Supports Track has recorded 296,032 beneficiaries across the 36 States plus FCT, of which 242,746 beneficiaries constituting 80% of the total beneficiaries are Youths.
Real Also:
The Payrol Supports Track would continue across the States of the Federation on a quota of about 13,000 beneficiaries per State except for few States such as Lagos, Kano, etc until it attains the proposed 500,000 MSME employees beneficiaries nationwide.
