The website which failed to mention any name of it's sponsoring philanthropist cunningly phished personal and banking information of many Nigerians including Phone Numbers, email address and Bank Account details, by enticing them with a Grant purportedly from the sponsors.
The Fraudsters behind the website had a gimmick of apportioning the said Grant in large sums immediately a victim enters his/her phone number in which they subtly ask the victims to fill in their bank details and others in order to claim the grant.
Asides phishing victims essential information, it is promoting a game Read Play Win which the victims are encouraged to fund their wallet and play using their bank card information, which the fraudsters claim, gives more chances of securing the Grant. This way, a victim's card details could be perfected phished.
Immediately the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development launched the website www.nasims.gov.ng through which the applicants of Batch C N-power Programme could log in, update their details and take Test on the online portal https://onlinetest.nasims.gov.ng, the same fraudsters launched theirs.

With thesame web platform and website registration details including locations and Registry Domain ID: 300A2C851-APP, the Fraudsters launched https://npower-fmhds-gov-ng.web.app https://bit.ly/3tpSf8M which has been spread across the Social Media and falsely scheduling unsuspecting applicants of the Batch C N-power Programme for the online Test.
The website went ahead to claim that the Humanitarian Affairs Ministry has released the list of applicants who would partake in the online test which can be accessed through their own portal using their stated methods as below:
"STEP 1: Register an account with Read Play Win and make a deposit of at least N200 to enable you get access to its questions and practice with them. (Make sure you use your registered N-Power Email Address for the registration)
"STEP 2: Visit www.nasims.gov.ng to update your details and take your test.
"STEP 3: Check your email address for an email containing a link for your examination.
"All successful applicants are hereby to note that examination will be Computer Based. Link for examination will be sent to applicants' registered email addresses," it added.

The website with the same logo of Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development accepts any 11 digit numbers structured as a phone number, processes it and congratulates a purported applicant as a shortlisted candidate while scheduling a time for the candidate to take the Screening test through a fraudulent link sent to the victim, following the above rules.
