Many beneficiaries of the programme have confirmed to have recieved the N20,000 first month payment in States such as Bayelsa, Akwaibom, Adamawa, Anambra, Bauchi and others this evening.
Other banks participating in the programme in addition to Access Bank and Fidelity Bank are ZENITH, UBA, FCMB, HERITAGE and Yobe Micro-Finance Banks which are yet to commence the payment of the beneficiaries.
The Minister for State, Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo has in a tweet, Monday, through his official Twitter handle https://mobile.twitter.com/fkeyamo , clarified "that the full payment for each SPW participant is N60,000 noting that "the ‘alerts’ of N20,000 received are for the first month."
The Minister further explained that "the N20,000 uniform balance reflected in all accounts is because the accounts opened for the participants were not existing accounts."

Mr Keyamo's statement entails that only N20,000 were paid to the beneficiaries to test-run their accounts as they are new accounts, hence, the payment of the balance of the N40,000 will be made to cover for the N60,000 earmarked for each beneficiaries of the 3 months programme.
