The text message reads:
"Dear MUHAMMAD, your registration is being processed, but there is missing information. Please fill out this simple form to reconfirm your N-POWER ID. Deadline: April 22, 2021. Form here: https://bit.ly/NPOWER-UPDATE"
A quick check through the bit.ly shortened url revealed that the webiste is http://www.npower-fmhds.com, a fully registered domain by Amazon Technology, the Registrar of the NASIMS Portal www.nasims.gov.ng.
The NASIMS Management responding to a telephone enquiry when contacted stated that the information contained in the Text message is 100% valid and should be strictly responded to by the exact registered N-power Phone Number which recieved the Text message.
Speaking during the conversation, the Management disclosed to Daily Info Update that actually there was a data error on the NASIMS database, hence some data were lost, adding that only the affected applicants were requested to update such information.

The applicants of the Batch C N-power Programme who recieved the Text messages are by this publication encouraged to validate their information immediately as today is the deadline.
Kindly disregard any information claiming it is a scam.
