The Federal Government has, Friday, commenced loan disbursement to the applicants of the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund whose Loans had earlier been approved upon completing the compulsory online Entrepreneurship Development Training.
The participants who recieved their payment today expressed ecstacy through their social groups as the loan of up to N300,000 per beneficiary stands as a booster to youth owned small businesses in Nigeria.
The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development breaking the news of the Batch 2 loan disbursement encouraged applicants whose loans have been approved but yet to recieved their payments to exercise some patience as the payment is on going.
Earlier this year, the Ministry announced in an official statement that it had disbursed loans totaling N165,700,000.00 to 239 beneficiaries of the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) in its pilot Phase of the Scheme, ahead of the processing of the over three million applications it had received. According to FMYSD, Pre-qualification, Training Invitation and the Training of qualified applicants are on going. All applicants have been encouraged not to exhaust their patience as the programme continues in Batches.
