The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) has apologised for the delay in the payment of the Enumertors of the AFJP Fertilizer Subsidy Grant.
The Ministry made this known through FMARDPACE official Social Handle on Monday while reaffirming its commitment in ensuring that the Enumerators under the programme recieved their complete remuneration without further delay.
"Your Patience is not taken for granted. Our team is working towards ensuring payment for every valid survey carried out is made as soon as possible," the Ministry assured.
The AFJP FMARD/PACE Enumeractors had decried non-compliance to the Agreements binding the Enumerators and the Agriculture Ministry earlier before the sack of Mohammed Nanono, the former Minister for Agriculture.
The sack was linked to incompetence and administrative mismanagement which had stalled the disbursement of the Fertilizer Subsidy Grants to about 1,209,143 Farmers enumerated under the AFJP FMARD/Pace Project.
With the appointment of a new Minister of Agriculture, it is hoped that the Enumerators would be paid and the N6,154,802,000 earmarked by the Federal Government for the AFJP FMARDPace Project disbursed to the enumerated Farmers across the 36 States of the Federation.
