NASIMS Authentic Social Media Channels

The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has warned beneficiaries of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme to be wary of FAKE social Media Handles which are giving out false information, purportedly emenating from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Central Management System.

NASIMS in an official statement titled "PAYMENT COMMENCEMENT DATE OF OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER STIPEND UNCONFIRMED" debunked a claim by a Facebook Handle Nasims.gov.ng which imitates the posts and styles of the Central System, in a bid to lure the beneficiaries into an established fraudulent net.

The Facebook Handle https://bit.ly/3dc9UdM claimed that the Payment of October and November Stipends to the beneficiaries has been scheduled to commence on 8th December, 2021.

NASIMS however in a counter and clarification post on Thursday pointed out, "For the sake of the gullibles and avoidance of false information, payment commencement date of October and November stipends hasn't been confirmed, for now.

"We are still working on payment issues and hope to finish up soon.

"We shall give update on the above subject matter when it's appropriate. Kindly disregard any slated date making the rounds on social platforms and keep observing your dashboard to that effect."

The Npower Management has, Wednesday, continued the payment of September Stipend to the Batch Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries, assuring that all payment issues would be resolved and eligible beneficiaries paid their Stipends.

It has become critical at this point to ensure the safety of Npower beneficiaries online, especially as some forces continue with the intent of imitating or cloning Official Government Channels as Baits to defraud unsuspecting victims.
