The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has fulfilled the payment of October Stipends to the beneficiaries of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme.
The Payment which was initiated on Thursday has had many of the Batch C Npower beneficiaries confirming to have recieved their October Stipend in their Bank Accounts late Saturday.
According to the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) under the Ministry, the October Stipend is one part of the 3 months outstanding Stipends viz: October, November and December, which would be cleared separately (one after the other), to the Npower beneficiaries.
Hence, after the payment of October Stipends to all the eligible beneficiaries, payment of November Stipend will follow, and then the December Stipend.
It is in the best interest of the ministry to pay-off the outstanding Stipends and return a normal payment calendar before the end of January, 2022.
The Ministry, which took part of the blame for the piled-up backlog of unpaid Stipends, stated that many Npower beneficiaries contributed to the delay in the payment, but however assured that susquent payments, after the payment of the outstandings, would be timely.
NASIMS encouraged the Npower beneficiaries to exercise patience while it follows the proposed plan of payment (Separately) to ensure hitch free payment devoid of technical glitches.

By the end of the outstanding payments, the Graduate (and non-Graduate) Categories of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme which commenced officially in August, 2021, would have counted 4 Months off their one Year Programme.
The engagement of the remaining 490,000 Sream 11 Batch C Npower beneficiaries has been planned out and would be conducted at no distant time within this year, according to the Ministry.
