NEXIT Loan: Will NEXIT Loan Training enrolment end today 4th February, 2022?

Fear has gripped thousands of Batch A and B Npower beneficiaries who have been unable to ascertain their eligibility status and declare their availability for the NEXIT Loan Training scheduled to commence in February, 2022.

Recall that the Special Assistant to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Mrs Ikem Anibueze while announcing the recent development on the NEXIT Loan Programme encouraged the exited beneficiaries to check their eligibility and indicate their availability to take part in the NEXIT Loan Training, on or before 4th February, 2022 using the Code *45665#.

Tension however heightened following the continued malfunction of the Service Code provided by the Ministry.

Questions also followed the unexpected service time of the code and the deduction of N30 per each dial of the code, where as the requested instruction does not return any information, inspite the N30 charge.

In view of the observed challenges, the Ministry has cancelled the 4th February deadline for the NEXIT Loan enrolment, a source stated.

According to the source, only 35,000 exited Batch A and B Npower beneficiaries have successfully declared their availability for the first batch of the NEXIT Loan Training.

Speaking on the deduction of N30 through the Service Code, the Ministry stated that the exercise is not designed to cost any amount whatsoever, henceforth, no charges would be attached to the process - a standing order given to the outsourcing company, the source added.

The Ministry noted that the use of the USSD Code is to enable exited beneficiaries with smaller phones enrol in the NEXIT Loan Training without visiting or spending money in a Cyber Cafe.

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development also disclosed its intention to bring back the website for the NEXIT Loan Programme registration.

The Ministry stated that once the website is back, there will be enough timeline to enrol in the programme, the source stated.

As at the time of this report, no official statement has however been made by the Ministry to address the tensed exited Npower beneficiaries regarding the stated deadline extension.
