Npower Batch C: All outstanding Stipends will be paid, NASIMS reiterates, set to commence January Stipend Payment

The National Social Investment Management System  (NASIMS) has reassured that all outstanding Stipends owed to the beneficiaries of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme would be cleared while acknowledging their patience in the payment delay, which has been persistent, since the inception of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme.

The Npower Management announcing the initiation of January 2022 Payment to the beneficiaries on Friday, made the assurance, noting that crediting the Npower Batch C Stream 1 beneficiaries' Bank Accounts should be expected at a shortest possible time.

In addition to January, February and March 2022 Stipends which have been unpaid, a handful of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries are yet to recieve Stipends for few months in 2021, while very many have been paid for the months in 2021.

"While January payment process has been initiated and crediting of accounts expected to begin at shortest possible time, kindly note that all 2021 outstanding payments will be cleared while current payments is in progress. Despite the challenges encountered, we appreciate your patience so far", NASIMS stated.

The Batch C Npower Programme which commenced towards the end of August 2021, has had the beneficiaries recieve 4 Months Stipend of N30,000 each from September 2021, in the 1 year Batch C Npower Programme..

Considering the design of the Batch C Npower Programme by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, the beneficiaries would recieve their last Stipend payment in August 2022, which would mark the termination of the one year Npower Programme and possible transition to NEXIT (NEXIT loan) Programme.

NEXIT (N-EXIT) popularly known as NEXIT Loan Programme is an Exit or Transition Plan which is meant to train and grant soft Loans to Npower beneficiaries after completing their duration in the Npower Programme, according to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

It is organised by the Ministry in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria, to offer Loan amounts between N250,000 - N3million as obtainable in the CBN Intervention Programmes specifically AGSMEIS Loan.

CBN/NEXIT AGSMEIS Loan has started with the exited Batch A and B beneficiaries of the Npower programme, and will progress to the Batch C Npower beneficiaries as indicated by the Ministry.

By end of April 2022, the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries would have only but 4 Months to exit the Npower programme, and join the NEXIT Loan race.

Meanwhile, the Batch C Stream 2 Npower Programme which would engage 490,000 Npower beneficiaries in fulfilment of President Mohammed Buhari's decision to extend the Batch C Npower Programme to 1 million Nigerians, is yet to commence.
