The Federal Government has continued the Enumeration and Validation exercise for its Rapid Response Register (RRR) for the COVID-19 Cash Transfer Programme across the States and Local Governments of the Federation.
In a special report signed by the National Cordinator of the National Social Safety Net Cordination Office (NASSCO), Apera Iorwa, the current Enumeration and Validation exercises across the States and LGAs of the Federation will end on 5th June 2022.
Applicants of the Rapid Response Register (RRR) who registered with the State RRR Codes have been advised to ensure they participate in the Enumeration and Validation exercises in their States and LGAs before the date, in order to benefit from the Cash Transfer Programme.
Speaking in Enugu State, the State Cordinator of Enugu State Operation Cordinator Unit (ENSOCU), Barr. Joy Eneh called on the people in the State to participate in the RRR Enumeration and Validation exercise as follows:
(1) Applicants from Local Governments under Enugu East Senetorial Zone particularly Enugu North, Enugu East, Enugu South and Isi-Uzo should visit Stanbic IBTC, Okpara Avenue for the RRR Enumeration and Validation exercise.
(2) Applicants from Local Governments in Enugu North Senetorial Zone consisting of Nsukka LGA, Udenu, Igbo-Eze North, Igbo-Eze South, Igbo-Etiti and Uzo-Uwani LGA should visit Nsukka LGA Headquarter for the RRR Enumeration and Validation exercise.
(3) Applicants from Nkanu East, Nkanu West, Ani Nri and Awgu LGA should visit Nkanu West Local Government Headquarter in Agbani for the RRR Enumeration and Validation exercise.
(4) Applicants from Ezeagu, Oji River and Udi LGAs should visit Udi Local Government Headquarter for the Enumeration and Validation exercise.
Mrs Eneh emphasised that the COVID-19 Rapid Response Register Enumeration and Validation exercise will end on 5th June, 2022, urging the applicant to ensure they partake in the exercise before the termination date between 8am to 5pm daily.
She warned that the COVID-19 RRR Enumeration and Validation exercise in the State is Free of Charge, stating that applicants in the State should report any individual insisting on collecting money from the applicants for the COVID-19 RRR Enumeration and Validation exercise. The Rapid Response Register (RRR) for COVID-19 Cash Transfer, a World Bank supported National Social Safety Nets Project is an intervention by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to identify and document the Urban and Semi-urban poor who have lost their income streams and consequently become poorer from the hash economic impact of COVID-19.
The Register is being built nationwide as an expansion of the existing National Social Safety Nets Project (NASSP) to target those in this category of non-traditional poor in urban and high density locations and/or slums where the COVID-19 Pandamic has affected economic life.
Individuals/Household captured under the COVID-19 Rapid Response Register are paid N5,000 for a period of 6 Months.
