The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has announced that the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme will end in this August 2022.
The Special Assistant to Sadiya Umar Farouk on Media and Publicity, Nneka Ikem Anibueze, broke the news on Saturday while responding to a publication in the Daily Trust of Monday August 9, 2022 titled OPEN LETTER TO MUHAMMADU BUHARI, “WHY SADIYA UMAR FAROUQ SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE”
According to Mrs Anibueze,"the Batch C Npower beneficiaries were divided into two streams, C1 and C2. Batch C1 was deployed in September 2021 and are due to exit the programme this August 2022 after spending 12 months in the programme."
This is contrary to media speculations that the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme has been extended to six months, purportedly to expand the APC voting strength in forth coming General Election in 2023.
The media speculation threw the Batch C Npower beneficiaries in disarray, with many inquiring to know the Npower Batch c stream 1 exit date.
Myinfoclock Daily Info Update had in 31st July, 2022 stated that there will be many speculation on the Extention of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme, adding that an update is expected from the Ministry on the Npower Batch c stream 1 exit date before the end of August, 2022.

In preparation for the exit of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries, the Ministry has fast-tracked the payment of all outstanding Stipends to the beneficiaries as backlogs.
The Ministry commenced clearing of "FAILED PAYMENTs from the Month of September, 2021 to May, 2023 since first week of August 2022.
The National Social Investment Management System NASIMS under the Ministry had also on Thursday announced the initiation of June Stipends Payment, noting that in no distant time, the Bank Accounts of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries would be credited for the month of June, 2022.
