The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) said it has commenced crediting small holder Farmer's Bank Account with the NPRGS-AFJP 2022 Wet Season Post Harvest Loss Mitigation Surpport Grant.
The Ministry made this known in a Statement on Friday while intimating the general public on its recent activities while prioritizing farmers periodic funding as way of encouragement to the Farmers.
"Dear Enumerators, Your Farmers have been Credited NPRGS-AFJP 2022 Wet Season Post Harvest Loss Mitigation Surpport.
"One major challenge experience by farmers is post harvest losses.
"This grant will support our smallholder farmers pay labourers for harvesting and storage bags,"
Some of the Farmers have confirmed credit Alert in their Bank Accounts while many are waiting for the Credit Alert buzz on their Phones.
FMARD had in October, 2021 concluded the disbursement of N5,191,530,730 to 1,013,126 Farmers enumerated under the AFJP Fertilizer Subsidy Grant which is meant to encourage the Farmers and boost Agricultural production in the country.
While the Ministry has continued the disbursement of the NPRGS-AFJP 2022 Wet Season Post Harvest Loss Mitigation Surpport Grant to already Enumerated Farmers in the 774 LGAs, no further enumeration of Farmers has been initiated under the AFJP Farmers Grant Scheme.
