The National Population Commission has reconfirmed the Training Date for Enumerators and Supervisors LGA Level Training scheduled across the 774 LGAs of the Country.
Following the recent release of the NPC Adhoc Staff Enumerators and Supervisors New Training Date, as contained in the Revised 2023 Cencus Work Plan, many Applicants have been wondering why some publications have declared 13th March, 2023, and 31st March, 2023 as the new Training Date.
Responding to the contradicting publication of dates by some Publishers, the NPC when contacted confirmed that the actual Training Date for the Enumerators and Supervisors LGA Level Training is 15th March, 2023 and will end on 21st March, 2023.
The statement of the NPC is in agreement with the Revised 2023 Cencus Work Plan as released by the commission.

Highlights of the Revised 2023 Cencus Work Plan includes the following:
- Refereshers (Virtual Training) for State Level Facilitators and Specialised WorkForce commences on 6th March, 2023 and ends on 12th March, 2023.
- LGA Level Trainers would travel down to various LGA Level Training Centers between 13th and 14th March, 2023.
- Assessment of Training Centers for the 2023 Post-Enumeration Survey (PES) to be conducted between 13th March, 2023 to 20th March, 2023.
- Training on Building Numbering and Household Listing will be conducted between 15th March, 2023 and 21st March, 2023.
- Profiling of Enumerators and Supervisors for the Main Census will be conducted from 15th March, 2023 to 21st March, 2023.
- LGA Level Training on Persons Enumeration will be conducted from 26th April, 2023 - 30th April, 2023.
- Census Night is on 2nd May, 2023.
- Enumeration of Persons will commence on 3rd May, 2023 and ends on 7th May, 2023.
The NPC will soon start contacting the "Approved" Enumerators and Supervisors, via Text Messages and Emails, as "invitation" for the NPC Adhoc Staff Enumerators and Supervisors LGA Level Training.

The National Population Commission, in a statement signed by its Director of Public Affairs, Dr Isiaka Yahaya, on Tuesday announced that in furtherance to the preparation for the upcoming 2023 Population and Housing Census, it has commenced training of the Comptrollers in charge of the Commission’s Local Government Area offices nationwide on the critical processes of the 2023 Population and Housing Census, and the Comptrollers’ role in the census workflow.
The NPC noted that the purpose of the training is to equip Comptrollers with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties effectively and efficiently during the census exercise.
"The training which commenced on Tuesday 7th March, 2023 would be practical-oriented, focusing on specific tasks and skills that Comptrollers require to execute their assignments", the NPC added.
