The Director of Public Affairs, National Population Commission, Dr Isiaka Yahaya has confirmed the Postponement of the Enumerators and Supervisors Training earlier scheduled to commence on 13th April, 2023.
Recall that mixed statements on Tuesday threw the Enumerator and Supervisor Adhoc Staff Applicants into confusion, with many not knowing wether or not the Training would hold as scheduled.
For the purpose of clarity, Dr Yahaya in a Press Statement titled " POSTPONEMENT OF LGA-LEVEL TRAINING OF SUPERVISORS AND ENUMERATORS" via the Commission's Official Facebook Handle on Wednesday confirmed that the Enumerators and Supervisors Training has been postponed indefinitely.
Yahaya advised that the public should disregard any message contrary to this information, stating that New Date for the Enumerators and Supervisors Training will be announced in due course.
"The Commission wishes to inform the General Public that the LGA-Level Training of Supervisors and Enumerators scheduled to commence tomorrow, 13th April, 2023 has been postponed due to some "emerging issues". The New Date will be communicated to the public in due course.
"We assure Nigerians that the Commission remains committed to conduct a credible and acceptable 2023 Population and Housing Census and that all preparations are in top gear.
Consequently, we advise that the public should disregard any message contrary to to this information. We regret any inconvenience this postponement may have caused the functionaries", Dr Yahaya stated.

As at the time of this report, some Enumerators and Supervisors have been confirmed to have recieved notifications from their respective LGAs stating clarely that the Training has been postponed till further notice.
