The Nigeria Immigration Service said it is concluding plans to Shortlist Candidates in furtherance to the 2023 NIS Recruitment Exercise.
The Agency in a Circular on Friday disclosed that it is concluding collation of eligible candidates to be shortlisted across the States of the Federation, adding that Shortlist has been successfully reviewed state by state and regionally and only a matter of time the agency will officially publish for the public.
Reacting to the concerns of Applicants who are generally unsure, worried and anxious about the delay in shortlisting Candidates for the 2023 NIS Recruitment Exercise, the Agency assured that the NIS Recruitment is ongoing despite the delay.
The NIS further disclosed that upon Shortlisting Candidates for the 2023 Immigration Recruitment, the Candidates would be engaged in a Computer Based Test (CBT), as it is also concluding arrangements with ICT and CBT Centers in preparation for the release of the Shortlist.
"The administrative office of the Nigeria Immigration service and staffing board is in receipt of the concerns of applicants who are generally unsure, worried and anxious about the developments, and situation of the recruitment exercise for the year by the agency following the general online registrations earlier this year. All applicants herein referred as candidates are hereby to note that as of today:
"Recruitment will hold despite the delay in commencement for the activities and processes starting with the much awaited shortlist.
"General collation of shortlist is in due progress and almost as good as completed. Shortlist has been successfully reviewed state by state and regionally and only a matter of time the agency will officially publish for the public.
"The agency refutes in entirety the circulating trend of messages for invitations for CBT tests involving Tax Clearance and therefore advises that candidates should desist and disregard such misleading information.
"The agency has now officially began preparations and can confirm has also taken the necessary steps to get in touch with several iCT and Computer centers ahead of preparations for CBT.
"All candidates are hereby advised to remain calm, and be patient as in due time, the recruitnent exercise will kick off as expected.
"With all this said, we wish to reiterate that the service will make adequate arrangements for the dissemination of information about shortlist and CBT will follow afterwards", the Agency stated.
