The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has transferred the responsibilities of the Ministry to the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo, marking the conclusion of her tenure as the pioneering minister.
During the 1st Nigerian International Humanitarian Summit held in Abuja on Friday, Umar Farouq presented two booklets containing her service records in the ministry.
Expressing her gratitude, the minister acknowledged the unwavering support provided by the Permanent Secretary, directors, and staff of the Ministry and her office throughout her meritorious three and a half years of service.
She urged the staff to remain dedicated in their pursuit of President Muhammadu Buhari's vision to uplift as many vulnerable individuals as possible out of poverty.
"I hereby formally present these documents showcasing my accomplishments as the first Minister of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development over the past three and a half years. I sincerely appreciate your support as I hand over to the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo."
In response, the Permanent Secretary expressed his gratitude to the Minister and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.
