This clarification has become imperative as tension has heightened following rumours being paraded in the Social Media. While many argue that Npower has ended, others are of the opinion that there's no fund for the payment of Npower beneficiaries.
According to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, three Months Stipends were Approved Payment for Batch C1 and C2 Npower beneficiaries.
The 3 Months Stipends approved for Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries were the Outstanding Stipends of October, November and December 2022.
While the 3 Months Stipends approved for Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries were September, October and November 2022 Stipends which were benevolent/exit packages approved by the then Minister.
While the payment of Batch C2 Outstanding Stipends of October, November and December is on going, the Ministry has suspended the payment of Batch C1 benevolent/package for now.
Speaking further on the Batch C1 3 Months Payment, the Ministry said the Payment would continue after Batch C2 October, November and December Stipends must have been paid completely.
However, Stipends for the Months of January, February, March, April, May and June have not been approved by the President Tinubu led Government.
NPower Batch C1 beneficiaries should note that there is no January to June Stipends for them as Batch C1 Npower Programme has ended.
The Ministry has today apologised to the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries, announcing that it is working on reinitiating all pending Batch C2 3Months Outstanding Stipends.
