Recall that the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) began a new round of Npower Stipend payment after the complete migration to the new SSP Portal on 1st August, 2023.
While ecstasy filtered on the social media amids the long awaited stipend payment, some beneficiaries were left in doubts, purportedly because they have not seen their own credit alerts.
However, NASIMS when contacted on Thursday assured that the Stipend payment is in progress, adding that no beneficiary will be left out.
According to NASIMS, "Please be informed that Payment is still in progress and no beneficiary will be left out".
All Stipend payments will continue through the new NASIMS SSP Portal ssp.nasims.gov.ng and beneficiaries can monitor their payment Status as often as the need be.
The payment through the new SSP Portal became necessary to ensure that genuine beneficiaries are paid through their NASIMS Profiles, as it was identified that Npower Applicants, yet to be shortlisted, had also filled the Npower Validation Form, and waiting to be paid.
It was also identified that some fraudsters filled in their Bank Account Numbers through the Npower Validation Form, after they had fraudulently gained access to beneficiaries information, and also anticipating to be receiving victims monthly Stipends through the means.
With the migration to the new NASIMS Self Service Portal, NASIMS has eliminated all fraudulent intentions, however, Npower beneficiaries should ensure they protect their essential information, do not fill any unofficial Form in order to ensure that one's profile won't be hijacked through schematic processes.
