Following the controversies surrounding the Npower Programme lately, many beneficiaries of the programme, especially the Batch C2, are eager to know when the payment of about 9months Stipends owed to the beneficiaries would be paid.
It is astounding to note that the Batch C2 Npower Programme which commenced on 4th October, 2022 has officially ended in September, 2023 as it is a 1year (12 months) programme. The more striking reality is that over 300,000 of the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries are yet to recieve more than 3 months stipends in the 1 year programme.
These have raised many questions which include when will Npower batch C2 be paid? when will Npower Batch C2 Payment start again? when is Npower Batch C2 going to be paid?
In today's Npower Batch C2 Stipend Payment News, we highlight the recent events surrounding the Npower programme, why the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries are yet to be paid and when the Npower Batch C2 will be paid.
Why the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries are yet to be paid
In the first instance, it will be fair enough to state why the Bach C2 Npower beneficiaries are yet unpaid even as their Programme has ended.
The new Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, speaking during Arise TV Morning Show Programme anchored by Rufai Oseni and Dr Ruben Abati, faulted the Management of the Npower Programme over irregularities and inconsistencies, among others.
Dr Edu lamented that some of the beneficiaries who are complaining of not being paid are no longer supposed to be in the programme, as they have exited since last year but have insisted on recieving exit package or exit fund before they leave the programme. This particularly refers to Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries.
The Minister further noted that little fund is currently left in the Npower programme, affirming that she has constituted a ministerial committee to verify the beneficiaries so that those eligible can be paid with the little fund left in the programme will be paid.

When the Npower Batch C2 will be Paid
Dr Edu's earlier statement indicated her discontent with the payment of exit package to Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries, when they have been exited from the Npower Programme upon completion of their 1 year programme, and full Payment of their 12 months Stipends whereas the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries have not been paid.
The Minister responding to an interview with News Central TV in its Breakfast Central Programme titled, "Nigeria @ 63, Improving Citizens Standard of Living" gave an Update on the on going investigation in the Npower programme, stating when the Npower Batch C2 will be Paid.
According to Dr Edu, the investigation/verification of Npower beneficiaries eligible to recieve payment is ongoing. "By November 2023, the list of Npower beneficiaries eligible to recieve Stipends will be released," she added.
She noted that by the same November 2023, the New Npower Programme named Renewed Hope Job Creation Scheme will kick-off. This will feature the inclusion of many Nigerian youths as beneficiaries of the new Npower Programme.
Dr Edu furthered that payment of eligible Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries will commence in December 2023 after the on going investigation and beneficiaries' verification must have been concluded.

Pls ensure u don't include C2 beneficiaries in d name of removing C1 dat have exited their programme bcos since the establishment of the new portal, all our datas formerly uploaded on our dashboard got missing and many more. Pls ma, ensure clean and clear verification. Thanks ma
