The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has opened portal for UNDP GEF SGP MSME Grant application for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Africa including Nigeria.
The Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP) is part of the global sustainable development goals which has been welcomed by the Federal of Nigeria.
What is UNDP GEF SGP MSME GRANT Programme
The UNDP Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP) is meant to empower youths and startups in developing countries and across Africa to be the driving force in addressing the very challenges that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to tackle.
The SGP program is not just about granting financial support; it’s about nurturing and sustaining economic growth.
The UNDP pledges to provide support for 30,000 businesses each year for four years. That’s 120,000 dreams ignited, 120,000 opportunities created, and 120,000 changemakers ready to transform the world.
What are the Benefits of UNDP GEF SGP MSME GRANT Programme
(1) Each of the 30,000 small business grant beneficiaries will recieved a Grant of $1,000 (over N1,000,000) to support their businesses.
(2) The beneficiaries of the UNDP GEF SGP MSME GRANT programme will also get business mentorship which will help to nurture their businesses.

ReplyDeleteI don't know why Nigeria is always this way, NGO program that was designed, to help small scale business people, some individuals corner it to there personal pocket! SGP said, disbursement commence 5th December 2023 but until now, nobody have received anything after sending SMS to people that they have been approved some certain amount.
