The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has released a new date for the commencement of the 9 months outstanding Stipends earlier scheduled to begin on 27th November 2023.
Betta Edu, the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, while addressing the tension which followed the failure to begin as earlier scheduled, assured that the payment of the Npower Batch C Stream 2 9 Months Outstanding Stipends will begin on 4th December 2023.
The Ministry attributed noncompliance to the previous date to technical glitches which ensued while initiating the payment of the lingering backlogs to the beneficiaries.

The Ministry appealed to the beneficiaries to stay patient and hopeful as the backlog stipends payment stands utmost consideration in its activities especially as social intervention remains a top priority of the President Tinubu Agenda.
In a recent development, the National Social Investment Programmes Agency's National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer, Hajiya Halima Shehu, announced that portal for the recruitment of a new Batch of Npower beneficiaries will begin in December 2023.
Hajiya Shehu also on Tuesday convened a vital session with key commercial bank stakeholders on the implementation of th National Social Investment Programme.

The session focused on the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) loan, discussions centered on optimizing loan disbursement, implementing efficient loan recovery methods, and tracking the loan's socio-economic impact.
This strategic collaboration aims to enhance the effectiveness and reach of the program while ensuring responsible loan management and impactful outcomes.
